C4i Consultants Inc. has an exceptional full time professional career opportunity for a Senior Software Developer based out of our Calgary Head Office. Multiple positions are available.

Description

The Developer will be responsible for all phases of the software development cycle: concept, technical specification, design, prototype, code development, testing, and release.  It is expected that the candidate will be able to work under minimal supervision.  To be successful at this role, the candidate must be a self starter and be capable of managing multiple responsibilities at once.  The candidate must also be capable of obtaining Secret security clearance.

Position Overview and Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend the existing code base
• Refactor and re-engineer the existing code base safely
• Actively participate in technical design meetings
• Provide technical assistance to service customers, both internally and externally
• Provide technical documentation where required
• Communicate acquired knowledge amongst other team members and other teams
• Assist with the development of functional requirements

Required Education/Experience/Competencies

• Bachelors Engineering/Computer Science degree with 5+ years of post grad experience
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Organizational and time management skills
• Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, with minimal assistance, while remaining flexible to changing requirements
• Strong understanding of OO Principles
• Experience with C# and .NET 3.5 Framework
• Experience with Defect Tracking Tools such as Axosoft OnTime
• Experience with using source control tools
• Experience with WPF development is an asset
• Experience with Winforms development is an asset
• Experience with Remoting and/or WCF development is an asset
• Experience with Geographical Information Systems (GIS) is as asset
• Exposure to military systems development/integration is an asset
• Experience with simulation is an asset
